Long adventures in the Wasteland

Amazon Prime’s Fallout TV series, a collaboration with Kilter Films, was a huge success in April 2024, earning a 94% Rotten Tomatoes score.

The series also helped Bethesda’s post-apocalyptic games to get some more players back into the franchise once again.

At Liverpool Comic Con 2025, star Aaron Moten, who plays Maximus, revealed that the program might last five to six seasons. Let’s check out more details in this article.

A Decade in the Wasteland

Aaron Moten revealed the information at Liverpool Comic Con 2025 that the Fallout team planned a long arc from the start.

Here’s what he has to say about this: “They gave me the endpoint—a season five, six type of endpoint.”

This might be the slow approach that showrunners are taking to develop characters like Lucy, Cooper Howard, and Maximus.

Season 1 of the Fallout TV series was incredible and it captivated 15 million viewers in just 16 days. (8 episodes)

Now, fans are pretty excited for the Fallout TV series season 2, which is scheduled for Spring 2026 and will dive into a New Vegas-inspired story.

A six-season run lasting about two years might stretch the series beyond 2034, exciting fans on X like @VaultDweller99, who call it “a dream come true.”

Season 2 tease

The Fallout series, praised for its accurate take on the 27-year-old property, received an Emmy for Outstanding Writing and increased the player population of Fallout 76 by 4 million in 2024.

Moten stated that Deathclaws, the franchise’s renowned mutants, will return in Season 2, much to the delight of fans who missed them throughout the Fallout TV series Season 1.

Season 2, directed by Jonathan Nolan, will expand the story of the wasteland, with Ella Purnell and Walton Goggins reprising their roles.

According to Reddit discussions, future seasons could examine the Capital Wasteland or the Midwest, drawing inspiration from Fallout 3 and Tactics, respectively.
