When Among Us was first launched in 2018, it didn’t create that much of a big impact, however, everything changed during the pandemic in 2020. Now, Among Us 3D is all set to launch on PC to create the same impact among its fans and player base.

It remained competitive despite new maps and mods such as proximity chat. Its virtual reality introduction in 2022 offered it a first-person boost. Now fans will be able to play without VR. Let’s check out more details in this article.

Among Us 3D is all set to reclaim its crown of the deduction genre and to compete against games like Lockdown Protocol and more.

While the core gameplay (crewmates fulfilling chores and finding out impostors) remains unchanged, this update adds fascinating new elements with 3D.

There is also no need for third-party apps like Discord, as the new version of the game will have native proximity voice chat, letting you talk to nearby players in-game.

This seamless feature makes entering random lobbies easier and provides a sense of realism—ideal for whispering secrets or accusing someone mid-task.

Even the beloved mini-games will now be more enjoyable in the first-person view and you can have more fun with your friends and random.

Despite being a standalone title separate from the 2D Among Us, Among Us 3D allows crossplay with Among Us VR. This means you can team up (or betray) friends in virtual reality, bridging the gap between platforms—but your original game cosmetics will not carry across.

During the Steam Next Fest which is from February 24, 2025, to March 3, 2025, you will be able to try the demo of the game.
