This prediction comes from Circana analyst Mat Piscatella in an interview with GamesRadar, who believes that multiple factors may raise the potential cost of the next generation consoles.

• Increasing demand for high-end hardware

He has also said that the next generation could see a 50% price increase compared to previous launches.

Hardware advancements driving costs

Another main reason for the higher price is the jump in hardware that Sony is going to put in PS6.
