So far, we have seen many rumors, leaks and insider reports for the Black Flag remake. There were also reports about the remake getting delayed. The company was also silent about the remake’s existence.

But now, in the official Ubisoft blog, they have spoken about the franchise’s future and also confirmed the Black Flag remake as Resynced, with the series iconic phrase, “Nothing is true. Everything is permitted.”

This strongly hints that the golden age of piracy is about to return in a modern form.

What else is happening in the Assassin’s Creed universe?

That’s not all, as Ubisoft has further provided information about the future projects in this universe. Codename Hexe, which is supposed to be a darker and narrative-driven experience, along with Invictus, which is supposed to be a PvP multiplayer Assassin’s Creed experience, are progressing well in development.

Assassin’s Creed Jade, the mobile entry that was supposed to be cancelled, is also in development. Assassin’s Creed Unity is receiving a free 60 fps patch today for modern hardware.

According to the franchise roadmap for 2026, Assassin’s Creed Shadows will shortly reach its final support phase, with only modest updates in the future.
