Ubisoft’s most anticipated remake, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, has finally been released and it has already become the biggest Assassin’s Creed launch title ever on Steam.

The game has nearly hit 100k concurrent players on Steam and by Sunday it may cross that mark as well. This has surpassed the record of Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

According to SteamDB, the game has hit 99,451 all-time peak within its first day of launch. As of writing, there are almost 59k players playing right now, with 82k 24 hours peak.

These figures are nearly double the all-time peak of Assassin’s Creed Shadows on Steam. With this, Black Flag Resynced has become the biggest launch of the franchise on this platform.

The remake is also on top of Steam’s best-selling games list, suggesting that it has garnered some serious interest from both existing and new fans. The player total could rise even more in the next few days, as the tournament wraps up on Sunday.

The game is the publisher’s fourth biggest on Steam in terms of active players, behind the Assassin’s Creed series, and is just another achievement for Ubisoft in general.
