9 games in pipeline
Tom Henderson from Insider Gaming recently revealed the upcoming Assassin’s Creed roadmap and what games Ubisoft is planning to launch next.
Ubisoft aims to create at least nine new Assassin’s titles over the next six years, including RPGs, remakes, multiplayer games, and a mobile game.
Diverse lineup of Assassin’s Creed games
According to the report, Ubisoft’s strategy seems to maximize the Assassin’s Creed franchise by delivering varied experiences.
There are two major RPGs, three remakes, one smaller-scale game, two multiplayer titles, and a mobile game in the plan.
Mainline RPGs are due out every 2-3 years, with remakes and smaller titles filling in the gaps to keep fans interested.
Upcoming Assassin’s Creed titles
Due to Shadow’s delay, the exact release date still remains a mystery for now, however, the future roadmap is packed with amazing projects:
Assassin’s Creed Jade
This will set in China and is expected to be the next mobile game to launch. This will bring all the stealth and exploration experience closer to a handheld device.
Invictus
This is said to be a multiplayer online game inspired by Fall Guys, featuring 16-player matches. If this is successful, Ubisoft has a 5-year support plan for updates and content.
Obsidian: Black Flag Remake
This is the most awaited remake for me as Blag Flag is considered one of the best games in the franchise, alongside the Ezio trilogy.
According to reports, this remake is built on Ubisoft’s new Anvil Engine and is expected to launch around the same time as Invictus.
Hexe
This was codenamed as ‘Neo’ previously and is the next mainline RPG set to release after Shadows concludes its two-year DLC cycle. Hexe will feature one year of post-launch support.
Scarlet
This is the next big RPG after Hexe. It is in production and may explore settings like India, the Mediterranean, or the Aztec Empire, possibly as Assassin’s Creed Nebula.
Stardust and Emerald
Stardust is the second remake, with work starting after Obsidian. Emerald, a multiplayer title, will follow closely and may have ties to the previously codenamed Raid or Echoes projects.
RPG3 and Remake3
A third RPG and remake are planned for 2030-2031, however, information on themes and developers has yet to be revealed.
