Every shinobi and samurai craves gold in Assassin’s Creed Shadows and it is equally important for the players as well. This is one of the best ways to upgrade your tool in the game.

Best methods and places to get gold in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Here are some of the best methods through which you can get gold in the game:

• Trading with Itinerant Vendors
• Completing Contracts
• Taking Down Bandits
• Assassinating Mini-Bosses
• Swapping Keys in the Animus

The golds are very stingy and don’t expect to hit any jackpot at any point. Expect one or two pieces every time and use these strategies to stack them up.

Trade with itinerant vendors

Wandering traders, such as the Port Trader I met in Osaka, occasionally stock gold. Prices vary depending on the vendor and the season, so if your coin pouch is heavy, look at Yamashiro or Harima for potential deals.

Tackle Contracts

When you unlock a Hideout, the Settsu Board will open Contracts. Some tasks, such as silencing a target or torching supplies, offer gold as a reward. They’re rapid hits that allow for consistent increases without breaking a sweat.

Hunt Bandits in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Each region’s Objective hub hosts bandit-slaying events. After defeating 100 bandits, the Out to Pasture task in Settsu’s People sector awarded me with gold. Check-in with locals after the quest—some offer extra Gold for hitting their targets. This is my personal favorite method in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

Take Out Mini-Bosses

Samurai Daisho, the mini-bosses that lurk in castles like Katano, can cough up gold. Identify their unique boss icon, raid their territory, and strike.

Use the Animus Exchange

Menu-dive into the Animus Exchange. Stabilize Anomalies for Data Fragments, then trade them for Keys, which you can then use on Projects (think battle pass tiers) to get Gold. It’s a slow burn, but free if you’re investigating.
