All out destruction is amazing
Fans and gamers were pretty excited when the alpha footage of Battlefield 6 leaked online yesterday after the following Battlefield Labs playtests.
Although strict NDAs were placed, clips still managed to leak on April 26 and April 27, 2025. The footage shows the game returning back to its old military combat and destruction.
Battlefield 6 leaked gameplay highlights
The leaked gameplay footage was shared by X user @alisaad40002. This provided a glimpse of the early build of Battlefield 6 and what fans can expect.
This footage was posted on April 26 at 5:32 PM IST and April 27 at 12:45 PM IST. The video highlights the game’s “all-out destruction” elements, which have made Battlefield 3 and 4 fan favorites.
Buildings crumble upon destruction, debris flying everywhere and a chaotic explosion which absolutely looks realistic.
The footage also reveals a modern setting, departing from the historical (Battlefield 1, V) and futuristic (Battlefield 2042) themes of previous installments.
The most interesting part is that both EA and DICE have not yet removed any video clips from social media till now.
Earlier this month, the Battlefield team expressed unhappiness with NDA breaches, but the continuous circulation of these videos shows EA is testing community reactions ahead of an official announcement.
Potential release date and platforms
EA has confirmed that Battlefield 6 will release within its fiscal year 2026, from April 2025 to March 2026.
However, the exact release date has not been revealed yet, as many are speculating that EA is trying a strategic release around GTA 6.
There is no doubt that GTA 6 is the most anticipated game of all time and no publisher wants to compete with that.
For now, it is expected that Battlefield 6 will drop on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. There is no mention of whether it will be available on Switch 2 or not.
According to EA, the game’s development incorporates four studios—DICE, Criterion, Motive, and Ripple Effect—making it the “largest, most focused team” in Battlefield history.
