Ready for the community testing

Electronics Arts (EA) has just revealed the Battlefield Labs, a community test program that is aimed to refined the next upcoming Battlefield 6 game.

Following the underwhelming reception of Battlefield 2042, EA is taking a more open approach to development, encouraging gamers to test new features and gameplay aspects before the official release.

What is Battlefield Labs?

This is probably the most ambitious collaboration of EA with its community to make sure that the upcoming game won’t disappoint the fans. It’s a platform where a small number of enthusiasts may help shape the game’s development by evaluating pre-alpha versions of Battlefield 6.

EA states: “Battlefield Labs is our most ambitious community development collaboration ever, where a select number of fans will step inside the war room.” The campaign first targets gamers in North America and Europe, with intentions to expand globally.

How to sign up?

If you are looking forward to joining, just follow these steps:

  • Visit the Battlefield Labs website. Go to the official website and click the ‘Sign Up Now’ button, which is prominently featured on the home page.
  • You will need an EA account to proceed. If you don’t have one, you can make one on the spot.
  • Join the Community: Consider joining the Battlefield Labs Discord for community engagement and updates.

Just a little warning that the signup queue is very long right now. There are more than 250,000 fans who are waiting in line right now.

A Glimpse into Battlefield 6

EA already teased the fans yesterday with the pre-alpha gameplay footage of the Battlefield 6. This reveal included many new features like vehicles, weapons and gadgets.

Creative Director Thomas Andersson underlined the value of player feedback, saying, “That feedback is crucial in helping us know what’s prioritized, what needs improvement, and what feels like a true Battlefield experience.”
