Borderlands 4 update 1.8 adds free Hadron Abyss Raid & New DLC

The update arrives on June 25, 2026

Gearbox Entertainment is all set to drop update 1.8 for Borderlands 4, which will introduce a brand-new free endgame raid with the paid Bounty Pack 3: A Zane to Kill For DLC.

Borderlands 4: Bounty Pack 3

The third Bounty Pack puts Vault Hunters in a unique neon-noir arcade adventure based around a strange and enigmatic mystery.

The players need to uncover the truth behind the murder of Zane’s Digi-Clone back up in a world filled with arcade-style gameplay and bizarre monsters.

In this DLC, there will be repeatable missions, brand-new boss encounters and two mini-boss fights. There is also a new enemy type known as the Glitched variant. It is capable of swapping positions during combat and creating unpredictable encounters.

There are also fully playable arcade machines, which will allow you to participate in mini-games while earning loot and powerful weapons.

Vault Card 3 adds new cosmetics and gear

Players will be able to unlock the Vault Card 3, which will include a variety of cosmetic rewards and gear upgrades:

• 4 rerollable gear items
• 4 Vault Hunter Heads
• 4 Vault Hunter Skins
• 5 Weapon Skins
• 5 Vehicle Skins
• 4 ECHO-4 Drone Skins
• 2 ECHO-4 Attachments

• 1 Pearlescent weapon
• 9 Legendary items
• Shields, grenades, and weapons
• 5 new Class Mods

A sixth Class Mod will also be added when the sixth vault hunter arrives with Story Pack 2 later this year.
