Call of Duty fans and gamers are pretty excited for the upcoming Call of Duty Black Ops 7 Open Beta, which is going to start from October 2 & 5, 2025.

Fans and players can expect a deeper dive into futuristic warfare, with sci-fi gadgets, maps, weapons, gameplay and more.

This open beta playtest is all about testing servers, finding bugs and improving gameplay based on fans’ and players’ feedback before its official launch.

Black Ops 7 Open Beta start and end times

The open beta is going to kick off with an early access window for select players. Then it will be open for everyone. Here are the dates and timings:

  • Early Access Start: October 2, 2025, at 10 AM PT (1 PM ET / 6 PM BST). This phase is exclusive to those who qualify (more on that below).
  • Open Beta Start: October 5, 2025, at 10 AM PT (1 PM ET / 6 PM BST).
  • Beta End: October 8, 2025

How to get early access to Black Ops 7 Beta?

Here’s how you can get the early access:

  • Pre-order the game. Purchase any edition of Black Ops 7 digitally or physically, and you’ll receive a beta code via email or from your merchant.
  • Xbox Game Pass subscribers: If you have Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass, you can download it from the Xbox app or the shop.
  • Twitch Drops From COD Next: Tune into the Call of Duty Next event (details on Activision’s webpage) for at least one hour with Drops enabled, and claim your code.
  • Xfinity Rewards: US Xfinity subscribers can receive a free code by joining in Xfinity Rewards and selecting the BO7 Beta option.

Even if you don’t have access to early access, you can still play the Black Ops 7 Open Beta from October 5, 2025. You can simply search “Black Ops 7 Beta” on your platform’s store (PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Steam, or Battle.net) and download it.
