The fans are pretty excited for Hideo Kojima’s upcoming game, Death Stranding 2, which is scheduled to launch on June 26, 2025.

This PS5 exclusive is a sequel to the 2019 original game and fans are wondering about the early access, pre-load and many other details. Let’s find out more in this article.

Is there early access for Death Stranding 2?

Absolutely, ‘YES.‘ There is an early access for the players who have purchased the Digital Deluxe and Collector’s Edition.

The early access will start from June 24, 2025, 48 hours before the official launch of the game. These players can easily avoid the spoilers.

To gain early access, pre-order the Digital Deluxe Edition ($79.99) or Collector’s Edition ($229.99) instead of the Standard Edition ($69.99). Both premium editions provide 48 hours of early access beginning June 24, 2025.

While Sony has not confirmed an exact start time, expect it to coincide with the original’s midnight EST launch.

Preloading Death Stranding 2

Players can start to preload the game right now. This game’s file size is around 91.476 GB, which is nearly double that of the original game. (55 GB)

So, if you have purchased the game, it is better to pre-load the game, so that you can jump straight into the game when it launches.

If this is your first time, just follow these steps:

• From your PS5 home screen, open the PS5 store.
• In the search option, type & search for Death Stranding 2.
• Pick up your edition which you like, purchase and then you can download it.

This game review embargo will lift on June 23 at 5:00 AM PDT / 7:00 AM CDT / 8:00 AM EDT / 1:00 PM BST/ 5:30 PM IST.
