FromSoftware’s upcoming Souls game exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2, The Duskbloods, is one of the most anticipated upcoming titles of 2026.
The interesting part about this game is that it will have co-op support and can also be enjoyed solo. There is also an upcoming Closed Network Test for the game.
The Duskbloods support co-op
According to the official FAQ published by FromSoftware, the game will feature co-op gameplay. You will be able to invite your friends and team up together once the game officially launches.
Another important thing to note is that the co-op feature is not available during the Closed Network Test for August 2026.
The closed network test is designed to test the online stability and gameplay system. For this test, the co-op feature has been disabled.
How will multiplayer work?
FromSoftware has built this game around a PvPvE gameplay format. This blends the player-versus-player combat with the controlled AI enemies.
Each match will feature 8 players who are known as the Bloodsworn of Dusk. They will all battle to claim the mysterious First Blood.
Players must survive the dangerous enemies while also competing against rival players in the match.
More information is expected to be revealed as the game gets closer to launch.
Solo mode in The Duskbloods?
YES! There will be a solo mode in the game. This will be pretty similar to Elden Ring: Nightreign. Players will be able to experience the game without relying on their teammates.
With the closed network test approaching soon, players and fans will be able to test out the combat mechanics, progression system and features of this new upcoming game.
Does The Duskbloods have co-op?
Yes. FromSoftware has confirmed that the full retail version of the game will include co-op functionality.
Can you play co-op in The Duskbloods Closed Network Test?
No. The Closed Network Test does not support inviting friends or playing co-op. Players will use standard matchmaking during the test.

Yes. Alongside multiplayer, The Duskbloods will include a solo mode for players who want to experience the game alone.
