EA Sports FC has finally revealed EA FC 27 The Grounds, which is a new open-world mode pretty similar to NBA Park. This is the first time in the franchise that we are getting an open-world mode in the game.
Instead of just surfing the menus, players can explore the shared social hub, participate in different activities and enjoy different football experiences with their friends.
What is EA FC 27 The Grounds?
This is a new open-world social hub where players can create and control their avatar while also discovering different football-themed districts.
Instead of selecting from a menu of games, you’ll enter a real-world room populated with other people, football games, and interactive activities.
This will make you feel more connected, allowing players to easily socialize online, customize their characters, take part in different football activities, and have fun together.

What can you do in The Grounds?
EA FC 27 The Grounds will provide many things to do for the players:
- Explore multiple football-inspired districts
- Join Clubs and social activities
- Participate in street football and skill challenges
- Customize their avatar with outfits and cosmetics
- Progress their created player across different activities
- Take part in special live events

There is also a new feature in this mode: the mentor system. From the trailer, there are two confirmed mentors:
- Alex Hunter
- Kylian Mbappe
For now, EA Sports FC has not explained how this mentor system will work. But we can expect them to guide us through challenges, teach new skills and unlock exclusive rewards.
EA FC 27 is scheduled to launch on September 25, 2026 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, Switch and Switch 2.
