Two swords to slay the enemies

Dual-wielding weapons are always fun and Elden Ring Nightreign also retains this core combat mechanics from Elden Ring.

This is a feature that has been carried over from the previous game and allows players to diversify their builds and unlock unique movesets, making it a valuable strategy for combat.

How to Dual-Wield?

This is a very straightforward method. You have to first acquire multiple weapons and then you have to access the Equipment tab by pressing the pause button.

Simply place the weapon you want to use together in the first two slots. Now, your character will be able to use both weapons at the same time.

Easy tips for dual-wielding in Elden Ring Nightreign

Here are some great tips that you should focus on:

  • Level requirements: Please make sure your character meets the requirements for each weapon to use. If you are underleveled, you will use the efficient damage output.
  • Character Suitability: Some classes, like Duchess and Executor, are naturally adept at dual-wielding due to their high Dexterity, enabling rapid combos.
  • Weapon Types: Some of my favourite choices: Curved Swords, Daggers, and Twinblades. They are fast and dangerous to enemies. It also makes it easy to apply the status effect when paired together.
  • Unique Movesets: You can only use special movesets if you dual-wield weapons of the same class. For example, combining two Colossal Weapons opens unique combos, whereas combining a Colossal Weapon with a straight sword yields conventional attacks.

Dual-wielding can easily transform your gameplay and provide new strategies and combat options against the enemies and nightlords.

It’s not only effective when you are in a three-person party, but it is also effective when you are doing a solo run, which is more difficult in Elden Ring Nightreign.
