HoYoverse officialy announced 'Varsapura': New Unreal Engine 5 game, gameplay & more details

HoYoverse, the one responsible for Genshin Impact and other gacha games, has recently shadowdropped the 31 minutes of gameplay of Varsapura. This is the new open-world game made in Unreal Engine 5.

We also like to inform you that this is not the same game that was revealed earlier this month. That means, HoYoverse now has two big projects. Let’s check out more details and gameplay of the new game in this article.

Varsapura gameplay trailer: Open-World exploration & stealth

From the trailer, this seems to be a mystery action open-world thriller. Hollowone, a SEAL bureau recruit, is battling the Mindrot plague that has been producing monsters and warping minds.

The game visuals look amazing and pretty realistic, even in the anime and gacha style. This special bureau is responsible for dealing with monsters and the main character can be seen dealing with them with her abilities. We can see amazing abilities, combat, open-world, stealth elements, dialogue choices and more.

Combat details

In the demo gameplay trailer of Varsapura, we can see Hollowone using gliding umbrellas (stamina-fueled traversal) for some traveling.

Much stealth gameplay was also seen, like hypnotizing foes pre-battle and assassinating silently. There are destructive and shattering elements for the environment as well.

Normal/Heavy/Plunging attacks, E skill (state-shifts: stealth hypnosis?), Q ultimate (cooldown-gated nukes). Party of 3:

• Hollowone (MC): Umbrella wielder—versatile slashes.
• Sayuki: File flurries for ranged ripostes.
• Dokki: Customized flail for crowd-clearing chaos.

You can also swap between characters for the combos and finishers. Team synergy might also be a thing in this game.

Final Thoughts

All the gacha lovers and HoYoverse fans are pretty excited for Varsapura. This is definitely looking like a big AAA title. The best part is that there is already another action fantasy title in development as well.

HoYoverse fans are eating pretty good with all the amazing upcoming games. No release date has been announced, but we can expect this game to be released sometime in 2027.
