The gamers are pretty hyped for the upcoming video games from August 2025. Amazing titles like Mafia: The Old Country, Madden NFL 26 and more would be dropping.

In this article, we are going to talk about the top five biggest game releases of August 2025 and are must-play titles for gamers.

5. Gears of War: Reloaded (August 26)

One of the most influential and best series of Xbox is now finally arriving on PlayStation. This Xbox 360 game will now come with cross-play support and improved graphics for the players.

This game will be releasing on August 26, 2025, on PS5, PC, Xbox Series X/S and will also be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one.

4. Dying Light: The Beast (August 22)

This is the third game in what we can call one of the best zombie games out there that you shouldn’t miss.

The gameplay trailer was revealed at Summer Game Fest 2025 and since then, this game is on my wishlist.

Visual looks amazing, FPS combat against Zombies is insane and the same goes for the parkour as well.

Kyle Crane will be back in action. The future horror games take set 13 years after Crane was presumed dead at the end of Dying Light 1, and after so many years of being subjected to brutal human experimentation, Crane has some, uh, fairly hardcore talents for players to deal with.

This game is releasing on August 22, 2025 and you can play it on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC.

3. Mafia: The Old Country (August 8)

The hype for Mafia: The Old Country is unreal among the fans. The recent gameplay trailers and previews they have shown so far are all amazing.

This game is going to be a prequel to the trilogy of Mafia games. So, if you haven’t played any Mafia games, you don’t have to worry at all.

Many fans are pretty excited for this and can’t wait to experience the story of Enzo, who joins the Torrisi crime family.

The game will be releasing on August 8, 2025, on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.

2. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater (August 28)

There is no way that I can leave Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater from this list. This remake is one of the most anticipated games of this year.

This is a remake of one of the best games made by Hideo Kojima and I can easily say that most of the gamers and streamers are going to play this.

This remake will be released on August 28, 2025, for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.

1. Lost Soul Aside (August 28)

One of my most anticipated games of next month is from PlayStation China Hero Project and UltiZeroGames. Just to let you know, this game was started by one person at first.

This game will remind you of the Final Fantasy setting as the creator behind Lost Soul Aside is a huge fan of that franchise.

Fans can expect the same type of settings and story in this game as well, while the combat seems pretty inspired by Devil May Cry.

This game will be released on August 28, 2025, for PS5 and PC. This game has been delayed many times; hopefully, it won’t get any delays now.
