It won’t be a lie to say that Gamescom 2025 opening night live was actually good if we compare it to the previous ones.

Pre-Show highlights

The pre-show announcements were actually quite good and warmed up the fans and gamers with some amazing reveals.

Bubsy 4D, Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes, and Outlaws + A Handful of Missions Remastered. Standouts included Denshattack!, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction, and Valor Mortis, as well as Routine and Sword of Legends. Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds X Pac-Man Crossover provided a nostalgic twist.

The main event really didn’t disappoint the fans. It started with Geoff Keighley confirming that Hollow Knight Silksong will be released this year and showcasing some gameplay footage.
