A New Chapter in Far Cry

Ubisoft’s AAA lineup has been pretty boring so far in recent years and it appears that Far Cry 7 is all ready to reignite the franchise. As always, the game’s main focus will be storytelling and gameplay.

According to the leaked information, the plot revolves around a power struggle inside the Bennet family, including characters such as Layla, Brie, Krista, Henry, Dax, and Christian.

The incorporation of New England as a location provides Ubisoft with a diverse range of locales, from cities to coastal landscapes and hilly regions. This variation complements the open-world adventure that Far Cry is known for, allowing for a mix of urban and rural gameplay features that prior versions did not fully explore.

Villain and the Plot for Far Cry 7

According to leaks, Ian Duncan is going to be the main antagonist of Far Cry 7. He is described as a conspiracy theorist, the theme this time will delve into manipulation and control.

Alongside the single-player campaign, the leaks have also suggested that there are some plans for multiplayer with extraction shooting-based mechanics.

This either can be really good thing for the game or the worst added feature. It has also been said that the game is targeting for 2026 release. Personally, I think they might push it to 2027. Do remember that this information is based on leaks and rumors, nothing is confirmed yet.
