Anime-style hero tactical shooter
A new anime-inspired Battle Royale from Saroasis Studios, Fate Trigger, is now heading towards its first early access in the first quarter of 2026.
This was officially announced at Gamescom 2025. The closed beta was very successful as it was able to draw over half a million players on PC. Let’s check out more details in this article.
What to look forward to in Fate Trigger?
For now, the exact release date is still kept under wraps, but based on Fate Trigger’s early access, which will start in the first quarter of 2026, we can expect the full launch in 2026 as well.
There are also the crossplay and first-person mode, which will be arriving as well.
Saroasis Studios’ press release to Insider Gaming outlined plans for these elements in future updates, as well as hopes to transform Fate Trigger into a “living universe” that includes Esports, continuing world-building, and tangible products.
This long-term vision indicates a significant commitment to the title’s future. Here’s how the official Steam page describes the game:
Finger on the Trigger – Anime Heroes are Storming the Arena! You are the chosen warrior, the Awakener, and your mission is to uncover the deep-seated secrets of this new world by shooting your way to ultimate victory.Ready to flex your tactics? Scavenge, craft epic gear, and unleash special skills to outgun and outsmart your rivals!
Is this game related to the Fate anime?
The Fate anime franchise is very popular among anime fans. Many fans think that this game is related to the anime because of the name, “Fate.”
However, the game is not at all related to the Fate anime. They just happen to share the same name. Despite having anime-style characters and an environment, this game does not draw any inspiration from anime.
Thoughts
The first time I saw this game was on Shroud’s stream. He was playing the closed beta and he really liked the game.
He even compared this game to PUBG and he thinks that this game has great potential. Having anime-style characters and shooter-based mechanics can work great for anime, gacha and hero shooter fans and gamers.
