When talking about the future of the franchise, Yoshida also mentioned the director of the hugely successful Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy Naoki Hamaguchi. Fans quickly started to wonder if Hamaguchi could lead the direction of Final Fantasy 17, but before he could get a response, Yoshida cut him off.
