SEGA and Sports Interactive have officially announced that Football Manager 27 will be available to play for free ahead of its full launch on November 10, 2026.

Football Manager 27 launch preview dates & platform
According to Sports Interactive, the free launch preview will start at 6 PM GMT on October 29 and run until November 3, 2026.
During this time, players can download the game for free and there will be no additional cost required to play the game within this time period.
The free launch preview will be available on:
- Steam
- Epic Games Store
- Microsoft Store
- Xbox Game Pass Ultimate
- PC Game Pass
There is no registration for this class. All players have to do is download the game on their platform of choice and they’re on their way to becoming managers.
The free preview period will be followed by a pre-purchase period from November 3, which will give people a 10% discount via SEGA-approved digital stores. Pre-order fans will also get the game’s Launch Preview until the official game release on November 10.

According to the official FM website, this free launch preview is more polished compared to the previous betas. Every game mode will be available to play, so players can experience the game before the launch.
One of the best features is that every time you save your game in the free preview, you’ll be able to do it for the paid Launch Preview period and the full game, so you’ll be able to save your progress without having to replay your story.
This also means that Football Manager 27 brings in some significant enhancements, including a revamped user interface, improved match play and new tactical options like Tactical Tweaks and Tactical Effectiveness.
