The new season will go live on April 1, 2026, which will deliver a mix of classic updates with modern tweaks.
Players will be able to get the familiar yet refreshed experience. There will be a diverse loot pool and returning mechanic that will define the original season.
Weapons, items & vehicles returning
This season will also bring back the fan-favourite weapons and utility items in the game. The most standout addition is the Baller, a unique vehicle that allows the player to rotate across the map.

- Flint-Knock Pistol
- Shadow Bomb
- Infantry Rifle
- Boom Bow
- Poison Dart Trap
- Impulse Grenade
- Treasure Map
Assault Rifle and Pump Shotgun from Season 7 will also remain available in the Fortnite OG Season 8.

While the map does not include many new destinations, it brings back some of the most iconic Points of Interest (POIs) from Chapter 1 Season 8:
- Lazy Lagoon â A pirate-themed area featuring a massive ship and waterfall
- Sunny Steps â A vibrant jungle location replacing Wailing Woods
- The Volcano â A central landmark tied to major in-game events
Battle Pass skins & rewards
The battle pass is going to feature remixed versions of the classic skins. Here are some confirmed characters:
- Luxe
- Blackheart (with a skull-and-lava redesign)
- Hybrid (now with a female variant)
Fortnite Endgame
That is not all, as Fortnite OG Season 8 is also going to have Endgame Limited-Time Mode (LTM), which is making a comeback on April 3, 2026.
