This aligns with Microsoft’s broader strategy for the Xbox as it approaches the 25th anniversary. They are having declining hardware sales and their current plan is to release games on multiple platforms.

Looking as of now, the company’s focus seems to be releasing the major big hits like Forza, Fable, Gears of War and Halo this year, to improve the strong gaming lineup.

This year will start with Forza Horizon 6, which is expected to release on May 19, 2026. Then, it will be followed by Halo: Campaign, which is expected to launch during Summer 2026.

After that, moving to fall 2026 will be Fable time and they will close the year with Gears of War: E-DAY release. Now, they are also paying attention to the GTA 6 release, which is scheduled for November 19, 2026. Microsoft is planning carefully to avoid competition with the titan.
