God of War 20th Anniversary panel: What to expect & more details

One of the best and famous franchises, God of War, is going to hit its 20th anniversary this month and fans are pretty excited for any kind of big reveal from it.

Gallery Nucleus announced on March 10, 2025, a second anniversary panel and signing event scheduled for March 22, 2025. Sony Santa Monica promptly responded: it’s just nostalgia, no bombshells. Let’s check out more details in this article.

No announcements at the God of War Panel

Gallery Nucleus’s event promises fans a trip down memory lane with a “Greek and Norse cast” lineup reflecting Kratos Greek saga.

Imagine voice actors from the 2005 classic to Ragnarok telling stories together—cool, right? However, Sony Santa Monica dampened hopes for X, stating, “We want to be clear: there are no planned announcements for this event.”

Now this statement hurt a lot and washed every excitement that fans had for the God of War Greek saga remastered, which was rumored previously.

These rumors have been going around for months about how we can see the younger Kratos’ journey in Greece once again on PS5 with enhanced graphics and remastered work.

There is still a chance that Sony might drop a surprise for God of War on March 22, 2025, but don’t expect too much from it now.

Fans are at least not losing hope as there is a PlayStation showcase that might happen around which can spotlight the next heavy hitters like Ghost of Yotei, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, and Marvel’s Wolverine.

There is also a chance that we might get something related to Santa Monica Studio. Previous rumors and leaks on Gamingleaksandrumors on Reddit have suggested that Cory Barlog and Santa Monica might be working on a new IP.

For now, patience is the key and anything can happen in the future. All we can do is hope that we might get something that will totally surprise us.
