At the PlayStation State of Play, Santa Monica finally revealed a new GOW game, God of War Laufey, with a full 20 minute gameplay that surprised most of the fans and gamers.
Since then, Sony has been on a roll with the marketing and now even the reports are claiming that we might see this game released in the early half of 2027.

According to a well-known insider, NateTheHate, who has a pretty good history with leaks and reports, has shared an update on the game.
He recently responded to a fan question and stated that he has heard that God of War Laufey could release in early 2027.
But fans should also note that he has stated that the development schedule could change and the target window is not guaranteed.
Fans and gamers have seen a lot of marketing from both Sony and the Santa Monica team for the game recently. It won’t be a lie to say that we have seen more of the game and its marketing than GTA 6, which is set to release on November 19, 2026.
If the leaks are true, then we can expect this game to release around March or April 2027.

Instead of Kratos and Atreus, this game is going to focus on Laufey, who is also known as Faye. She is a giant warrior who played a crucial role in both God of War (2018) and God of War Ragnarök. But her origins and most of the story still remain a mystery.
In this game, she will navigate through a mysterious realm of the afterlife and face challenges from the new Gods.
