Kratos might be heading to Egypt
There have been many rumors and leaks involving the next God of War game in recent years. But recently, a report from DanielRPK (paywall) revealed that Sony has already started to cast some Middle Eastern actors for their blockbuster AAA title.
Many fans have already started to speculate that there is no doubt that the next GOW title is in the works that might involve Egyptian Mythology. Do remember that this information is based on leaks and rumors, nothing is officially confirmed yet. Let’s check out more details in this article.
God of War Egypt?
Although not officially confirmed, the latest leaks suggest that the next God of War game might head for the Egyptian Mythology. This series has already explored both Greek and Norse Mythology till now and many fans were speculating where this series might go next.
Reliable Marvel Leaker, Daniel Richtman, where he posted this new information on his Patreon, “Sony is casting Middle Eastern actors for an unknown AAA game, which is likely to be the next God of War that explores Egyptian mythology,” the report says.
This also makes quite a sense because, in the making of the GOW documentary, Cory Borlog revealed that the 2018 game was originally going to be set in Egyptian Mythology before deciding to be set in Norse.

Now, Kratos has already defeated both Norse and Greek Gods and if these leaks are true, then it would be amazing to see which Egypt Gods Kratos will face in his next adventure. This might also be set in either 1 or 2 game series to complete the storyline.
For now, nothing is confirmed yet and we can only await any further confirmation from Sony and Santa Monica Studio. Don’t expect anything soon as I believe that we might not get any official announcement till 2026. What are your thoughts on the new God of War game?
