Death Stranding 2 is releasing next month!
The legend himself, Hideo Kojima, recently attended the Cannes Film Festival, where Sony also released the new gameplay footage and Dollman for the upcoming game, Death Stranding 2.
This game is all set to release on June 26, 2025 and will be exclusive to PS5 and PS5 Pro. Recently, his personal assistant also shared some news about Kojima’s future plans.
Hideo Kojima’s future plans
Kojima is a very busy man and is currently involved with the ongoing marketing for his upcoming game, Death Stranding 2.
But what next for him? Well, it has already been confirmed that Kojima Productions is working on a new IP, “Physint,” which will at least take 5-6 years.
This was recently revealed by Kojima himself. After that, he might want to try his luck at making films. This is what he has to say about this:
“Besides Death Stranding 2, there’s also Physint in development. That will take me another five or six years. But maybe after that, I could finally decide to take on a film.”
There are also plans for the Death Stranding movie, which is planned for 2027 with A24. Norman Reedus himself has shown quite an interest in playing himself in the movie.
Fans are also excited for the next project, which will be yet another stealth action-based game developed by Kojima Productions and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
There is no doubt that every fan would be excited if Kojima really decides to make his own film in the upcoming years.
Maybe something related to the Metal Gear franchise in live action or a completely new stealth-based action movie.
Whatever it is, it will take a very long time and we hope that Kojima won’t forget about this. For now, we should pay attention to Death Stranding 2, which is looking GOTY worthy.
