Suprise announcement?
The gaming world is already excited about the upcoming Nintendo Direct Switch 2 event. But now the current rumors and leaks about Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion remake dropping tomorrow are hyping the scene even more.
Previous leaks and rumors suggested that this remake might drop soon and now, according to Insider Gaming and new sources, the surprise might be dropped tomorrow.
Sudden release on the horizon?
Many rumors and leaks suggested previously that we might get the confirmation for an Oblivion remake in April 2025.
On March 13, industry source NateTheHate fanned the fire by expecting announcements in April and a launch date that could beat the predicted June timetable. According to @DetectiveSeeds on X, the game could be available as early as tomorrow, April 3, 2025.
“I believe the Oblivion remake is going to release at the end of next week, likely Thursday,” they posted on March 30, 2025.
If this is true, it would be really surprising to see an Oblivion remake release without any marketing, trailer, or hype. For now, these are all based on leaks and rumors and it would be suggested that we should wait for the official confirmation by the Bethesda studio.
New Updates: For now, it has not been revealed yet. However, recently, an update has been made to Oblivion’s Game of the Year Edition on Steam where Bethesda Game Studios has removed all the trailers. Nate The Hate also believed that any new updates might arrive between April and June 2025.

Virtuos Games behind the remake
According to leaks, Virtuos Games, well known for their work on Metal Gear Solid Delta, is behind this project, which will be a full remake of the 2006 RPG in Unreal Engine 5.
Aside from dazzling looks, the redesign apparently includes improved mechanics, such as smoother combat, updated stamina, and a new HUD.
Elder Scrolls fans are pretty excited to see how the Oblivion remake would look and feel like with all the next-gen upgrades. Remember, the original game was released in 2006, so it’s pretty old and new upgrades are going to be an amazing treat for the fans.
It is also expected that this game will land on Xbox Series X/S, PC and even on PS5. For now, we can only wait patiently for the official confirmation and pray that the leaks are correct.
