Unexpected release?
The early leaks and rumors suggested that the Oblivion remake might arrive by June 2025. But now, the new leaks and rumors suggesting that fans don’t have to wait that much longer.
According to VGC’s sources, the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions may be available in April 2025. NateTheHate fanned the fire on Twitter, teasing a revelation “this month or next” and a release “sooner than the original June target.” If this timeline is accurate, April might be a big month for Microsoft releases on PS5.
April might truly be the month where all the big Microsoft titles will drop on PS5. From Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, rumored for April 17, to Forza Horizon 5, which is locked in for April 29. If the leaks are true, then with the Oblivion remake, this might be really the big three Microsoft-published gems on PS5.
Bethesda appears to be betting on a quick reveal-to-release strategy, keeping the hype high and the wait short.

What’s new in the Oblivion Remake?
According to various sources, Virtuos, the studio also tackling Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, is behind this project. This is going to be on Unreal Engine 5, promising to upgrade combat and stealth systems to modernize the 2006 classic with enhanced graphics and performance.
Oblivion was originally an Xbox 360 and PC exclusive before making its way to the PS3 in 2007—it’s now set for a next-gen makeover on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and most likely the PC.
