Is MLB The Show 25 coming to Xbox Game Pass in 2025? Here’s what we know

The newest baseball game, MLB The Show 25, was released on March 14, 2025, which also kicked off the baseball season. Sadly for the Xbox Game Pass subscribers, the game was not available on day one.

This San Diego Studio gem has been a Day One regular on Game Pass for years, and it will return in 2021 with MLB The Show 21. This time, however, the tradition was not followed. Let’s check out more details in this article.

MLB The Show 25 skips Xbox Game Pass

This time, the game has not arrived on Xbox Game Pass and it appears that it won’t arrive anytime soon. MLB The Show 24 was launched on the first day of Game Pass, but this time, things seemed to be different.

MLB The Show 25 will demand the full price of the game for PC, Xbox Series X/S and PS5. There are no shortcuts to play this game with a game pass or subscription.

Sony revealed the news in a PlayStation Blog article in January, buried amid cover athlete hoopla (Paul Skenes, Elly De La Cruz, Gunnar Henderson—stars, right?). “The game will not be on platform subscription services in 2025.” That’s a firm no—not just for Game Pass but for PS Plus and every other service as well.

You can probably expect that this game won’t be out on Game Pass in 2025. So, if you were waiting on that, it’s just a waste of time. The only way is to buy for $69.99 for the Standard Edition, $99.99 for the Digital Deluxe and $229.99 for the Collector’s Edition.

What about the future? There is no confirmation or official report about this. But there is a good possibility that MLB The Show 25 might come to Xbox Game Pass in 2026. Till then, your only option is to purchase the game and enjoy your time with some baseball season.
