League of Legends Patch 25.04: Everything you need to know

League of Legends Patch 25.04 has finally been rolled out on February 20, 2025 and it has made some tweak changes in heroes, adjustments and a new naming convention—shifting from “25.S1.3” to the streamlined “25.04.”

Champion buffs to watch
Here are the champions who have received buffs in the League of Legends Patch 25.04:
- Ashe: The Frost Archer gains enhanced damage from Q (Ranger’s Focus), a greater AD ratio from W (Volley), and a stronger R (Enchanted Crystal Arrow), which now deals full damage to secondary targets.
- Ekko: Q (Timewinder) damage increases somewhat to improve early-game impact.
- Gangplank: Increased AD increase for late-game scaling.
- Jayce’s W (Hyper Charge) attack speed increases to 3.0, boosting his burst potential.
- Nautilus: Q (Dredge Line) damage increases with stronger hooks.
- Sion: Increased base armor and health regeneration for tankier frontline play.
- Teemo: E (Toxic Shot) now deals 145% damage to creatures.
- Yasuo loses his crit damage reduction, which sharpens his blade’s edge.

Champion Nerfs to balance power
Here are the champions who have received nerfs in the League of Legends Patch 25.04:
- Hwei: Reduced damage in Passive, QW, and WE to limit his versatility.
- Kalista: W (Sentinel)’s maximum health damage decreases, reducing her supremacy.
- Kog’Maw: Q (Caustic Spittle) damage reduced, compensated by a modest AP increase.
- Lulu uses W (Whimsy) for attack speed and E (Help, Pix!) for shield/damage takedown.
- Warwick: Q’s (Jaws of the Beast) mana cost increases, decreasing his sustain.
Adjustments and Item updates in League of Legends
- Elise: W (Volatile Spiderling) nerfed, but Skittering Frenzy cooldown reduced to 6 seconds with increased attack speed; R spiderlings hit harder.
- Mel: Q range and W duration are reduced, but E and R receive damage increases.
- Diana: Improved monster damage on Passive, with Q and W boosts.
- Infinity Edge: Cheaper at 3450 gold, but AD drops to 65.
- Mercury Treads: Price dropped to 1250 gold.
- Plated steel caps reduce auto-attack damage by 10%.
- Symbiotic Soles: Base movement speed of up to 40.
- Unending Despair: Reduced Anguish damage by 10-15%.
- Abyssal Mask: Magic resistance drops to 45.
- Fimbulwinter: Shield strength decreased by around 30% in League of Legends.
- Heartsteel: Reduced maximum health damage from Colossal Consumption to 8%.
