Emma Frost overview

Emma Frost is the latest Vanguard hero with 650 HP. The mind-controlling Goddess is really dangerous to deal with if you know how to play her correctly.

Off Tank

Emma is not the sole defensive tank. She is an off-tank and you can’t play her as a solo tank in the team. It may work in the quick play matches.

But in ranked matches against good players, you will just feed the enemies and will be useless for the whole game.

Don’t Dive

You also have to pay attention that she is not a proper dive tank. Her speed is pretty great if we compare it to other tanks.

But she doesn’t have a proper escape method to survive. If you are stuck in some dive situation, make sure to use your diamond form in order to become CC immune.

In that way, no Bucky hook, boop from Invisible Woman, or Spider-Man web pull will work and you will be able to escape.

Stopping Dive

Emma Frost is pretty good against the dive heroes and comp. You can easily stop the dive with your abilities.

You can stop Spider-Man, Black Panther, Magik, Psylocke and Star Lord very easily in the Diamond Form along with your shield as well.

Damage and Ultimate combo

She is a decent damage dealer, but her Mind pull ability, where she pulls out a diamond totem is kind of broken.

That ability deals a lot of damage and might instantly delete the other heroes if used correctly with timing.

Her grab and kick toward the wall in a diamond shape also deals a lot of damage. It is also very hard to avoid that combo.

Her ultimate ability is kind of okay, but it works very well with combos from other heroes. Use your ultimate along with heroes’ ultimate like Moonknight, Namor, Spider-Man, or even Magik.

Overall, she is a pretty good off-tank character and can play a huge part in the team. The best tip I can give is not to get too greedy while playing her.
