NetEase has finally released the Marvel Rivals Season 8.5 dev vision video and a new trailer for the latest DPS, Cyclops. He is going to join the roster starting on June 12, 2026.

Everything you need to know about Marvel Rivals Season 8.5
Marvel Rivals Season 8.5 is going to start on June 12, 2026. Cyclops joins the roster as a DPS character in the game. He will also get a new skin at launch, which will be revealed pretty soon.
From June 18, 2026, the summer event will also start, which will bring 10 summer skins to the game. Here are the heroes that will receive new summer skins:’
- Emma Frost
- Doctor Strange
- Cloak & Dagger
- Spider-Man
- Mister Fantastic
- Lady Loki
- Daredevil
- Black Widow
- Captain America
- White Fox.
Now, let’s talk about the team-up. Wolverine will be leaving his team-up with Phoenix and will join Cyclops for a new team-up ability called Blast Slash. Cyclops is the anchor in this team-up.
A new Beach Social Hub map is also arriving on June 18, 2026. The best part is that fans and players can complete challenges and collect daily login bonuses for a total of 2500 units, starting on June 18, 2026.
Path to Doomsday now has a new schedule. Avengers: Age of Ultron event has been delayed until Season 9 (late July) and The Avengers: Infinity War event has been pushed back to Mid-October 2026.
The new 616 VAULT event is arriving for two weeks starting from June 12, 2026. Old costumes from July and September 2025 are all confirmed to be coming back.
A new 18v18 map, “K’un-Lun: Shenloong Arena,” is also arriving with the launch of Marvel Rivals Season 8.5 on June 12, 2026.
