Xbox Helix to support physical game discs
The new report and job listing have now strongly hinted that the upcoming generation console, XBOX Helix, might support physical game releases and it won’t be a fully digital console.
The new XBOX CEO, Asha Sharma, has previously suggested that they want to provide players with more flexibility in choosing how they want to purchase and play the games.
PlayStation is already facing a huge backlash from fans and gamers for discontinuing the physical game releases starting in January 2028. If the reports are true, then this could be a masterstroke from Microsoft and they can win the hearts of gamers and fans very easily.
