Time to hunt some monsters!

The new story-based trailer has been revealed for Monster Hunter Wilds at the Capcom Spotlight event. Along with that, Capcom has revealed so many new things, information on open beta and many other things.

The game is scheduled to be released on February 28, 2025, with the second open beta going live on February 6, 2025. Let’s check out more details in this article.

New threats & familiar faces in Monster Hunter Wilds

The icy landscapes of the Iceshard Cliffs are pretty well-known and they will be returning with some well-known monsters from the previous game as well.

Hirabami, a newcomer to the series, was presented, demonstrating its ability to float and attack from the air, usually in groups of three. This makes strategic isolation critical to overcoming these aerial dangers.

This new trailer also revealed information on Arkveld, the game’s poster monster. This monster was shown in engagement in a turf war with Rey Dau.

There were also some hints and teases about the possible transformation akin to Alatreon’s energy-infused sequences. Additionally, fan favorites Nerscylla and Gore Magala return, bringing back memories for long-time players.

Second Open Beta details

Get ready for the second open beta for Monster Hunter Wilds which is scheduled for February 6, 2025. This will go live for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC with cross-play functionality. Fans can expect:

  • Training Area: Located in the Base Camp, ideal for sharpening your skills.
  • Private Lobbies: Create or join lobbies for a more personalized multiplayer experience.
  • Online single-player: Play alone without seeing other players, but with the opportunity to ask for assistance via an SOS flare.

Fans and players will also have a chance to hunt Gypceros in a new mission, which would be very interesting. Arkveld is now huntable, providing a challenging challenge for experienced gamers. Characters from the last beta will continue over, and players can earn goodies that will be available when the full game opens. Are you excited for the upcoming Monster Hunter Wilds?
