Official reveal at Star Wars celebration

The big news was first officially revealed on the Star Wars website, which also confirms that Bit Reactor and Respawn will showcase their game on April 19, 2025, live from the Galaxy Stage at Star Wars Celebration Japan.

This event will start from April 18, 2025 and the main highlight is going to be the new Star Wars game. The announcement teases: “Join Bit Reactor, along with Respawn Entertainment and Lucasfilm Games, for a first look at a new Star Wars turn-based tactics game.”

Everything we know about the game

This Star Wars project, first announced in January 2022, brings together Respawn Entertainment—known for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor—and Bit Reactor, a studio led by industry veteran Greg Foerstch.

Respawn is developing, with Bit Reactor leading development, creating a turn-based tactics experience set in the iconic galaxy far, far away.

Vince Zampella, Respawn’s CEO, expressed his delight back then: “We’re enormous Star Wars fans at Respawn and thrilled to partner with Lucasfilm Games on products we’ve dreamed of producing for years. Want to make awesome Star Wars games? Join us on our trip!”

Also, if you are a PlayStation Plus subscriber, then you can currently download and play Star Wars Jedi Survivor for free. This game was recently added to the game catalog.
