Ninja Theory reveals Senua will be longer & more expansive than previous Hellblade

Ninja Theory recently revealed the next Hellblade title, Senua, at the Xbox Games Showcase; it is scheduled for a 2027 release. Now, they have also revealed some new details about the game.
According to them, this new title is going to provide a much larger experience than the previous Hellblade series. This third chapter will have a longer campaign, an expanded gameplay system and a more interconnected world.
More expansive adventure in Senua
In an official post shared on social media, Ninja Theory describes the new game as “quite a bit longer” compared to both Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice and Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II.
They have explained that the studio is creating more expansive and fully realized action-adventure game. But they will still maintain the carefully paced story & narrating that fans expect from the franchise.
Despite the game having a larger scope and horizon, the game is still going to focus on Senua’s personal journey and emotional narrative.

Between life & death
This upcoming game will place the female protagonist in a mysterious realm between the living and the afterlife.
Her mission is to reach the land of the dead, but the path will be filled with dangerous enemies and manifestations that are tied to her past.
Players can expect deep psychological themes and a deeply personal story, which will showcase her struggles while facing challenges and emotional conflicts throughout the game.
Improved combat & exploration
The developers have also expanded the gameplay & combat system. They have introduced dual-wielding mechanics and a variety of special abilities.
Players will also get a large interconnected world, which will be filled with exploration opportunities and environmental puzzles.
Boss encounters will also play a huge part and there will be major confrontations that are linked to Senua’s past.
