Every birthsign has its perks

Choosing a birthsign is very imprtant in Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, which will shae your journey through Cyrodiil.

With 13 birthsigns each offering various perks and skills, some outperform others based on your build. In this article, check out everything you need to know about birthsign.

Why The Atronach is the best Birthsign

Among the veteran players, The Atronach is consider to be the best in the game. It provides a +150 Magicka boost and a 50% spell absorption chance.

You can easily restore your magicka by absorbing enemy spells while mitigating damage. However, you don’t regenrate Magicka naturally.

For that, you will need to stock up the potions or use the spell absorption to your advantage in Oblivion Remastered.

Other Birthsigns and their benefits

  • The Warriors: This is ideal for melee warriors, as it increases Strength and Endurance by 10 points each, increasing damage and stamina throughout protracted confrontations.
  • The Thief: Designed for stealthy gamers, The Thief boosts Agility, Speed, and Luck by 10 points, increasing your sneaking, pickpocketing, and critical hit chances.
  • The Lord: Provides Blood of the North power (restores 90 health in 30 seconds), but a 25% fire weakness makes Oblivion gate combat more challenging.
  • The Apprentice: Increases Magicka by +100 but also makes you 50% more vulnerable to spellcasters.
  • The Lover: Often regarded as the weakest, The Lover allows you to paralyze an enemy for 10 seconds everyday but exhausts you, leaving you exposed in combat.
  • The Steed: Increases Speed by 20 points, making it perfect for adventurers looking to run around Cyrodiil swiftly; nevertheless, Speed can be organically leveled.
  • The Shadow: Provides 60 seconds of invisibility once a day, ideal for Dark Brotherhood objectives or sneaky getaways.
  • The Tower is a poor choice, delivering only a daily lockpicking spell (Open Average Lock) and damage reflection, both of which can be easily mimicked by talents or equipment.
  • The Ritual: A solid choice with two abilities: change undead (repels undead for 30 seconds) and a daily 200-point health refill, ideal for survival.
  • The Mage provides a basic +50 Magicka boost with no drawbacks, making it an excellent choice for magic-focused builds.
  • The Lady: Ideal for melee builds, the Lady boosts Willpower and Endurance by 10 points while enhancing stamina and spell resistance.
  • The Serpent: Allows a daily poison attack (20 damage over 20 seconds) that also dispels magic, although the fatigue cost during battle can be a disadvantage.
