Capcom has recently shared some new technical details about their upcoming action game, Onimusha Way of the Sword, which is set to release on September 25, 2026.

These newly released specifications highlight how the game is going to perform on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC. Let’s check out more details in this article.

PS5 & Xbox Series X offer 4K performance for Onimusha Way of the Sword

Players on PS5 and Xbox Series X will be able to choose between two modes: Performance & Quality. The performance mode targets 60 FPS while outputting at 4K resolution (3840Ă—2160) through upscaling technology.

However, remember that the frame rates might fluctuate occasionally during highly graphically demanding scenes and cutscenes. The quality mode will prioritize visual fidelity, providing 4k output with frame rates expected between 30 fps and 40 fps. Xbox Series X will have the same performance on both modes.

Xbox Series S players will be able to enjoy the same graphics, but with a lower native resolution. Both modes deliver 1920Ă—1080 frames, with the Performance mode set to 60 frames per second and the Quality mode set to 30 to 50 frames per second.

Nintendo Switch 2 performance

At Nintendo Direct, Capcom announced that Onimusha Way of the Sword is also coming to Switch 2. In TV mode, the game will output 1080p using upscaling and will target 30 fps.

Onimusha Way of the Sword PC requirements

At 1080p and 30 frames per second at low settings, the minimum specs are an Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 3 3100 processor, along with a GTX 1660 or a Radeon RX 5500 XT graphics card.

Capcom’s recommended minimum specs are an RTX 2060 Super for 1080p and 60 FPS on medium settings. Those looking for 1440p 60 fps with these settings will require gear from an RTX 4060 Ti or a Radeon RX 6750 XT.

Capcom suggests the use of an RTX 4070 Ti or Radeon RX 7900 with an Intel Core i5-12400 or AMD Ryzen 7 5700 processor to play the game at 4K and 60 FPS at maximum settings.
