The wait is almost over for the fans as Blizzard Entertainment has finally announced Freja official release date for the Overwatch 2. She will debut in the upcoming season 16 bringing her crossbow skills to shake up the battlefield.

Freja’s release date?
The new hero will arrive in Overwatch 2 on April 22, 2025, kicking off season 16. Blizzard confirmed this in her gameplay trailer, stating, “Try her out now through March 24, then catch her officially in Season 16 on April 22.”.
Her limited-time trial just ended (March 21-24, maybe extending to March 25 at 11 a.m. PT based on previous updates), offering gamers a taste of her abilities. You can still try her out right now and plan your strategies for the upcoming season 16.

According to Blizzard’s update cycle, Freja will be available on April 22, 2025, at 11 a.m. PT, or 2 p.m. ET for those on the East Coast. Check out other time zones:

- Revdraw Crossbow (Primary): Rapid-fire bolts to pepper foes.
- Take Aim (Secondary): Slows her down to line up an explosive, high-damage shot—Quick Dash refreshes it.
- Quick Dash: A swift vault in any direction, reloading her explosive bolt.
- Updraft: Launches her skyward for positioning.
- Bola Shot (Ultimate): An explosive trap that snares one enemy and drags nearby foes into the chaos.
- Bounty Hunting (Passive): Three killing blows net bonus ult charge.

- Frost Bolts (Minor): Three rapid hits slow enemies by 20% for 2 seconds.
- Tracking Instinct (Minor): Spots low-health targets.
- Ready to Hunt (Major): Updraft unlocks a free Quick Dash.
- Relentless Barrage (Major): Landing Take Aim shots refunds four bolts.
