Base character Path of Exile 2 Classes
- Warrior: Known for their brute strength and melee abilities.
- Sorceress: Uses elemental magic for deadly effects.
- Rangers are experts in ranged combat, with a concentration on speed and precision.
- Monk: A combination of athletic agility and mystical arts, based on discipline.
- Mercenary: A versatile fighter available for hire, capable of both close and long-range combat.
- Witch: Uses evil, magical powers to dominate the battlefield.
- Assassin: The Assassin is a quick and accurate striker who excels in dealing precise, devastating blows to foes.
- Druids are a flexible class that may shapeshift into many forms to unleash fury or cast spells to control crowds and do damage.
- Gladiators are masters of both offensive and defense, designed for arena fights.
- The Huntress specializes in spears and offers a combination of distance and close combat.
- Marauder: A monster of a class, the Marauder is built for players who enjoy dealing with tremendous physical damage while maintaining high durability.
- The Templar, who combines strength and intelligence, uses holy magic and has melee prowess, making him suitable for tanky spellcasters or elemental melee builds.
Not every Path of Exile 2 classes will be available to play during the early access. Players will only have access to Warrior, Sorceress, Ranger, Monk, Mercenary, and Witch.
Ascendancy Classes in PoE2
Each base class in Path of Exile 2 has two Ascendancy classes, which provide players with specialized skill paths:
Warrior:
- Titan – Masters of overwhelming force, capable of dealing massive area-of-effect damage.
- Warbringer – Focuses on empowering allies and summoning spirits to aid in battle.
Sorceress:
- Stormweaver – Specializes in lightning magic, potentially enhancing elemental damage.
- Chronomancer – Manipulates time for strategic advantages, like slowing enemies or speeding up allies.
Ranger:
- Deadeye – Enhances projectile damage and accuracy, perfect for snipers.
- Pathfinder – Excels in using concoctions for various effects, possibly including poison or debuffs.
Monk:
- Invoker – Calls upon mystical forces for both attack and defense.
- Acolyte of Chayula – Likely tied to dark, chaotic magic, possibly involving buffs or curses.
Mercenary:
- Witchhunter – Focuses on countering spellcasters with anti-magic abilities.
- Gemling Legionnaire – Enhances skills through gem-based enhancements.
Witch:
- Blood Mage – Utilizes life force for casting, potentially with life-leech mechanics.
- Infernalist – Probably specializes in fire magic, causing burns and igniting foes.
