The Grinding Gear Games are now finally gearing up to release the early access for Path of Exile 2 which looks absolutely stunning. This is the sequel to the beloved dark fantasy ARPG set in the grim world of Wraeclast.

Similar to The Last Epoch and Diablo 4, it allows for extensive character customization via multiple classes and skill gems. However, the early access edition will only include six of the twelve intended character classes and the first part of the campaign. Let’s check out more details in this article.

Path of Exile 2 release date & early access

The Path of Exile 2 full-game release date is not announced yet. However, this game will enter early access on December 6, 2024.

How to play early access & platforms

Path of Exile 2’s early access is not free to play, as its full release will be. To participate early, purchase one of the supporter packs:

• Path of Exile 2 Early Access Supporter Pack – $30
• Lord of Ogham Supporter Pack – $60
• King of the Faridun Supporter Pack – $100
• Thamaturge of the Vaal Supporter Pack – $150
• Warlord of the Karui Supporter Pack – $220
• Liberator of Wraeclast Supporter Pack – $370

These packs not only provide access but offer a variety of in-game benefits, with costs varied by platform, area, and local taxes. This will be available on PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Do note that the full game is going to be free later when it is released. So far, the exact release date has not been announced yet. However, seeing the early access finally making its way, we can expect the game to launch around mid or late 2025.
