Play Elden Ring Nightreign early: Network test scheduled for February 2025

One of the best announcements from The Game Awards 2024, FromSoftware has revealed their new upcoming game “Elden Ring Nightreign” which will be released in 2025.

Now, this isn’t the sequel to the Elden Ring franchise as this game is reported to be called a spin-off which is based in the parallel world. This is also going to be a co-op survival type game and you will be able to test this game pretty soon. Let’s check out more details in this article.

Elden Ring Nightreign network test

Bandai Namco and FromSoftware have revealed that they will be doing a network test in February 2025. The registration will start on January 10, 2025. Fans will be able to register for the network test from the official website mentioned in the tweet. This test is only for the current gen consoles: PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

This is what the developers have to say about this test, “The network test is a preliminary verification test in which the selected testers play a portion of the game prior to the full game launch,” they explained. “Various technical verifications of online systems will be examined by conducting large-scale network load tests.”

What is Elden Ring Nightreign?

Described as a “standalone adventure within the Elden Ring universe,” Elden Ring Nightreign is not only an expansion but a new journey for players to explore. The game claims to delve into the darker aspects of the Elden Ring world, with the slogan, “Join forces with other players to take on the creeping night and the dangers within featuring 3-player co-op, uniquely skilled champions, and relentless threats.”

Thoughts

The Souls fans are truly excited to play this game as they know that FromSoftware is going to cook with this one. However, there were some disappointments as we still didn’t get anything related to Bloodborne. However, seeing Dark Souls enemies in Elden Ring Nightreign, we might see some enemies from other games as well.
