PlayGround Game's Fable has been officially delayed

There is no doubt that fans and gamers have all been waiting for the new Fable game for a very long time. This game has faced some initial delays and now it appears that Playground Games has once again delayed the launch of the game.

Xbox confirmed Fable delay
The official news was shared by Xbox’s official social media channels, where the company has explained that they need some extra time to ensure better development, polished and smoother gameplay.
The delay will afford Fable the “dedicated moment it deserves,” Xbox says, suggesting that the publisher wants to avoid a game from being shoved down users’ throats during the critical few days of its release.
With this, the game will now launch in February 2027. It still does not have a confirmed release date yet.
Fable showcase at Xbox Games Showcase
Despite the disappointment, Playground Games has confirmed that they will be sharing some big reveals of the game in the upcoming Xbox Games Showcase on June 7, 2026.
Fans might expect some new gameplay footage, development updates and a potential release date for the game.
The game was recently on the Korean ratings board, which means that many fans have been hoping to see more news.

There are some new reports that are suggesting that Blizzard Entertainment might be assisting PlayGround Games with certain aspects of the development.
