Is January a bad month?
Fans and PlayStation Plus subscribers were eagerly waiting for the January 2025 free games and Sony has finally revealed them. Three games have been announced once again that comes from the different genre.
You will be able to download these games for free from January 7, 2025. Let’s check out more details about the games in this article.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League | PS5
If we don’t count Concord, then this might be the biggest flop game by Rocksteady. The live servers are already shut down, so now you can only play the single-player story mode. I don’t know, why Sony even included this game. This is just a waste of space and as a PlayStation Plus subscriber myself, I am very disappointed with this month’s lineup.
This game is set in the large open city of Metropolis, and it combines action and narrative in an unusual way, pitting four prominent supervillains against an extraterrestrial invasion and a corrupted Justice League.

Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered | PS4
At least, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered is good to play. Not great, but still pretty much fun. It allows you to experience the thrill from both sides of the law. Race through breathtaking landscapes, escape, or pursue with tactical tools, all while enjoying improved graphics, cross-platform multiplayer, and a full suite of DLC material.
However, if you wonder whether this is like the old NFS games, the answer is “No.” But if you are a PlayStation Plus subscriber, then getting this game for free is good. At least you will have more fun while playing this instead of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe | PS4, PS5
This game is something that I haven’t played yet, so I might give this one a try. This narrative-driven game improves on the original 2013 cult blockbuster, making it even more intriguing. “The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe” introduces fresh narratives, choices, and secrets to its already perplexing universe. With new visuals and accessibility features like colorblind support and content warnings, this version makes the game’s charm and humor more accessible to a wider audience.
I am 100% sure that just like me, you were also kind of disappointed with the January 2025 free games. Well, now we can only hope to get some good games next month. If you are interested in playing this month’s free games, you can download them from January 7, 2025. Happy New Year gamers!
