But recently, an insider claimed that the physical disc version will be released a month or two after the game’s release. Even Rockstar Support confirmed the details about the physical version launching later.

Viral GTA 6 physical disc launch rumor debunked

Over the past few days, a new report from an Insider and a Rockstar Support message have been going viral on the internet. Based on these reports, the physical disc version is expected to launch after the game’s release, probably 1 or 2 months later.

But now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, this rumor has been debunked.

One of the more confusing answers was from Rockstar Support, who talked about a “physical copy” of GTA 6. This was many users’ interpretation that the disk version would be coming soon after launch.

In reality, this support message from Rockstar was indicating a physical retail edition that will include a download code inside the box.

Rockstar has also confirmed during the pre-order announcement that the physical version of the game will not contain a game disc inside the box.

So now, there is no exact confirmation or announcement from Rockstar Games about the GTA 6 having a physical disc launch at the release or after that.
