Sony raises PlayStation Plus prices across multiple regions

Sony Interactive Entertainment has now officially announced the price hike for its PlayStation Plus subscription across multiple regions.
For now, the company has cited “ongoing market conditions” as the main reason behind the latest price hike for the subscription.
These new updated prices are going to start from May 20, 2026, which is going to affect the new subscribers across multiple regions, including the United States, Europe, and the United Kingdom.
Price increase for PlayStation Plus
According to Sony, the monthly PS Plus Essential plan in the United States is now going to cost $10.99, up from the previous $9.99. The three-month subscription has also increased from $24.99 to $27.99.
In Europe, the monthly tier is now going to cost EUR 9.99, while in the UK, it will cost GBP 7.99.
There has also been a rise in quarterly memberships in both territories, with Europe now offering EUR 27.99 and the UK offering GBP 21.99.
Existing subscribers will keep current pricing
Sony has also officially stated that the current PlayStation Plus members will retain their existing subscription pricing as long as they maintain their uninterrupted membership.
If users run out of their subscription, upgrade, or downgrade their memberships, they might not be able to access the previous price structure.
Another interesting part is that Sony has also announced that this protection will not apply to India and Turkey. This means the price changes for the existing subscriber could arrive later in these regions.
