Hazelight Studios achieved yet another great success

Hazelight Studios’ latest co-op action fantasy adventure game, Split Fiction has garnered all the love from the fans and the critics. The game has been a massive success and now according to Variety, it appears that a movie adaptation is in the talk.

They have also revealed that there is a massive bidding war going on among the Hollywood studios for this game. Let’s check out more details in this article.

Know more about the movie’s details

According to Variety, the news about the Split Fiction movie adaptation started during the Game Developers Conference (GDC) in San Francisco.

Story Kitchen, a media business with experience in game-to-screen magic, is leading the charge, collecting a dream team of writers, actors, and a director to pitch studios.

For now, neither Story Kitchen nor Hazelight Studios (led by Josef Fares) have revealed any news about this officially. This isn’t Story Kitchen’s first collaboration with Hazelight; they’re also behind the stalled It Takes Two film on Amazon, and they’re working on other popular adaptations such as Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 with Sandfall Interactive.

Hazelight Studios is one of my favorite gaming studios as they always deliver when it comes to games. They care for the fans and players who want to enjoy the game on the couch. This time, they went ahead with more advanced features to deliver Split Fiction which was absolutely amazing.

Split Fiction quickly rose to prominence, selling 2 million copies in its first week and receiving rave reviews (90+ on Metacritic). The story of two writers, Zoe and Mio, stuck in a sci-fi and fantasy simulation drew players in with its cooperative charm.

You must have seen some videos and TikTok of two speedrunner’s gamers, “sharkOvO” and “E1uM4y” who recently conquered its brutal secret level, Laser Hell—a feat so tough Fares said “barely anyone” on his team could crack it.

After completing it, they earned the secret reward which was a congrats video from Fares and a trip to Sweden for a peek at Hazelight’s next mystery project.
