Valve has officially revealed the pricing for the Steam Machine. The new gaming system will start at $1,049 USD. Yes! You heard it right! Over $1000 for a gaming console and this is just the start.

Steam Machine prices & bundled options
Valve is going to offer four different versions of this gaming system:
- Steam Machine 512GB – $1,049 USD
- Steam Machine 512GB + Steam Controller – $1,128 USD
- Steam Machine 2TB – $1,349 USD
- Steam Machine 2TB + Steam Controller – $1,428 USD
The premium 2TB version will also include two exclusive faceplates, which are going to feature real fabric and solid walnut designs.
Valve has also announced the regional pricing for Canada, Europe, the UK, Australia, and Poland. You can check them on the official website.
How to buy Steam Machine?
Valve is using the reservation-based process instead of the traditional pre-orders. If you are interested in buying, you must sign up for the preferred model before June 25.
When registration closes, Valve will make a one-time random pick to determine reservation priority.
After the selection process, the customer will receive two e-mails:
- Reservation Queue: Your order has been secured and will ship once inventory is available.
- Waitlist: You have been placed on a waiting list and will be notified if additional units become available.
The first batch of gaming system deliveries will start on June 29, 2026. You can sign up for the gaming system on the official Steam website.
